Castaways History

First Presbyterian Church, Rockport, has been a partner in Castaways Thrift Shop since 1976. Every Monday from 9-3 we are responsible for staffing the sales floor (the front) and receiving, sorting, pricing (the back).

Wonderful Monday lunches are now a favorite tradition.

On Thursday mornings we gather in the back to sort and price. We welcome volunteers at any of the above times; some of us work a couple of hours a week, some of us work longer, some even work from home -- there's a time and a job to suit everyone.

Church membership is not a requirement -- we have several volunteers who are not affiliated with our congregation.
