Prayer Concerns:  Mrs. Scotty Kautz, at the loss of her son Mike who passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 3.  Scotty is friends of Mike and Kathy Henderson.

Prayer Comforter Ministry for:    Ernest and Veronika’s daughter in law and son, Camille and Kelen Camehl, who lost their baby, Conner Alexander on July 5.  Camille was 26 weeks into her pregnancy.   John and Carolyn Watters friend, Brad Guion, who contracted Vibrio, the flesh eating bacteria while fishing near Rockport.  He has been moved to Galveston where his condition is grave.   Nikki Daniels sister, 85-year old Carol  Carlson, must be out of her California apartment by August 1 because she can no longer afford the rent.  She has nowhere to go.  Prayer Comforter MUST be mailed on Monday while she still has an address.

July 2 through July 14, Including Sunday, July 9, 2017

Prayer Concerns:   Kelen and Camille Camehl lost their unborn baby, Conner Alexander.   Debbie Simmons’ young granddaughters to whom Debbie Shedden delivered prayer quilts were immediately comforted by them.   Bev Jacobson’s recently widowed step sister Pam Stewart said of her prayer comforter “It has brought peace and comfort” and “I am so at peace today because of those prayers. “    John and Carolyn Watters friend, Brad Guion, is the Ingleside teacher who was infected with Vibrio (the flesh eating bacteria) while fishing near Rockport.   Nikki Daniels’ sister, 85-year old Carol Carlson, is being evicted out of her California apartment because she can no longer afford the rent.  She has nowhere to go.   Debbie Jackson’s uncle Freddie Copps of Dilley, Texas, recently passed away.   Pat Baugh is at Gulf Coast Plaza receiving rehab for 3 broken ribs.   Elaine McMurray is frustrated her broken arm is not healing as quickly as expected.   Penney Clarke still seeks fulltime employment.   Bev Jacobson’s nephew in law Terry Tiner was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer; process to determine the strain and stage has begun.

Celebrations:  Sterling Heller reported Gay Hetjmancik only has a couple chemotherapy treatments remaining AND Ed and Lou Fegley continue adjusting to their new living environment but miss their Rockport church family.

Prayer Comforter Ministry for   Don and Caro Jackson’s friend, Tommy Rapp, who is recovering from major back surgery and under close observation for reoccurring blood clots.     Yvonne Jaggard, her long-awaited rotator cuff surgery has finally been scheduled for Tuesday, July 25.   Caryn Jackson, mother of Amanda Hime (Scott & Mary Hime’s daughter) former college roommate, is beginning  chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

July 14 through July 21, Including Sunday, July 16, 2017

Prayer Concerns: Pat Baugh is at Gulf Point Village receiving physical therapy and would like visitors. Helen Bradshaw’s sister, Celeste Callendar is out of remission for Multiple Myeloma and weighing whether or not to forego treatment.   Pam Roe, foot surgery July 31 in San Antonio.   Yvonne Jaggard, rotator cuff surgery Tuesday, July 25.   Caryn Jackson, mother of Amanda Hime (Scott & Mary Hime’s daughter) former college roommate, is beginning chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.   Terry Tiner, Bev Jacobson’s nephew, tests and biopsy are indicating “his cancer is a bad one.”

Celebrations:   Lola Smith scheduled for discharge from Oak Crest Convalescent Care.  Gay Hetjmancik was able to attend church on Sunday, July 16.   Mike Shedden has progressed to a walker. Elaine McMurry is starting to improve, has finally been released to have physical therapy.

Prayer Comforter Ministry for Shannon Kerne, a friend of Sarah Gaskamp Hamilton, is beginning Hospice care due to cancer.  She has a 4-year old son, Michael.

July 21 through July 28, Including Sunday, July 23, 2017

Prayer Concerns:   Shannon Kerne, a friend of Sarah Gaskamp Hamilton, is beginning Hospice care due to cancer.  She has a 4-year old son,   Pam Roe, foot surgery, July 31, in San Antonio.   Daniel Garcia had a health check-up last week.  He has been undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma.   Kelly and Scott McNeely truck was damaged during a severe storm while visiting St. Louis.  They were unhurt.   Reed Marton scheduled for triple bi-pass open heart surgery Friday, August 11.

Prayer Comforter Ministry:  Katie Henderson, FPC Youth Group Alumni and daughter of Mike and Kathy Henderson, leaves August 21 for a year in Scotland as a “Young Adult Volunteer” through the PC(USA) Presbyterian Mission.

Celebrations:    John and Debbie Jackson celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.   Marie (Bonnie) Rendon became a great grandmother July 21.

July 28 through August 3, Including Sunday, July 30, 2017

Prayer Concerns:  Carole Atwell in sympathy for the loss of her husband, Gene, who passed away unexpectedly July 27.    Pam Roe had foot surgery July 31 in San Antonio.   Reed Marton scheduled for triple bi-pass open heart surgery Friday, August 11.   Dana Mercer is scheduled for knee surgery.

Celebrations:    Yvonne Jaggard doing well after rotator cuff surgery July 25.   Natalie Bettes, 2017 RFHS graduate and former high school choir member under Mrs. Jaggard, is leaving soon for college where she will major in music.  Natalie sang a solo for the Offertory on July 30.     Pat Baugh moved back home from Gulf Point where she received physical therapy after a fall.   Sandy Swanson, RAAB is seeking to find support and volunteer to host The Community Table on August 22 in lieu of FPC

Prayer Comforter Ministry:  Katie Henderson, FPC Youth Group Alumni and daughter of Mike and Kathy Henderson, flies out of Austin on August 21 for a year in Scotland as a “Young Adult Volunteer” through the PCUSA.
